The Reader
Scope
The Reader is a proudly South African brand of ready-to-wear reading glasses, positioned at the intersection of fashion, affordability and function. Our creative brief was to design a visually striking brand identity that would appeal to a design-savvy and style-conscious audience, while still clearly communicating product clarity and value. We developed a vibrant colour-driven visual language anchored by the signature eyeglass icon, which serves as the primary branding element across all touchpoints. The product range was brought to life through clean, impactful packaging, bold in-store displays, a detailed product catalogue, and an exhibition stand designed to make a powerful first impression at trade shows. The brand tone is expressive, contemporary and playful. Typography and layout choices were made to reflect visual clarity and quality. Infographics, product photography and colour-coded pricing systems helped customers quickly identify their perfect fit and style. The result is a brand that feels fun, fresh and premium, with a clear identity that stands out in the retail environment. The Reader has since grown into one of the most recognisable reading glasses brands in its market.
